Nizo Heliomatic 8 S2R 2x8mm cine camera by Niezoldi & Krämer, Germany.
This is a classic Nizo Heliomatic 8 S2R Double-8 cine camera, identified by the original label inside the film chamber as Model S2R, serial number 702161.
The camera is equipped with two original Rodenstock lenses:
Rodenstock Heligon 12.5mm f/1.5
Rodenstock Euron 37.5mm f/2.8
The camera features an integrated selenium exposure meter positioned above the lens assembly.
It uses Double-8 film and has a spring-driven mechanical mechanism with selectable frame rates of 8, 16, 32 and 64 fps, as well as single-frame operation.
Condition and testing
The mechanical mechanism has been tested and works correctly. The spring motor winds and runs properly, the controls operate smoothly and the film transport mechanism functions as expected.
The camera has not been tested with film, as Double-8 film was not available for testing.
The built-in selenium exposure meter has not been independently tested, so its functionality cannot be guaranteed.
The two Rodenstock lenses are present and appear complete. They show normal signs of age consistent with a vintage camera of this period. The camera body and chrome parts also show some signs of age and use, as visible in the photographs.
