Descrizione del venditore

稲忠Inachu – Vintage 昭和Showa 輪島塗Wajima Urushi Vase with Crane 蒔絵Maki-e – Handcrafted and Hand-painted
稲忠 Inachu (established 1929)

Shipping method: DHL Express

This elegant vintage Wajima lacquerware flower vase was produced by Inachu, a long-established lacquerware maker in Wajima, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.

The tall cylindrical wooden body is finished with traditional Japanese urushi lacquer. Its lustrous black surface gradually transitions to a deep vermilion-red tone near the upper section, creating a refined and dramatic contrast.

Two graceful cranes are depicted in gold and silver-toned maki-e decoration. Their elongated forms and finely rendered feathers give the composition a quiet sense of movement and elegance. In Japanese decorative art, cranes are traditionally admired for their beauty and longevity.

The interior is finished in a warm gold-brown tone. The vase is accompanied by an original Inachu label and an explanatory leaflet about Wajima lacquerware.

Estimated period: approximately the 1970s–1980s, late Showa period.

Use: Suitable as a flower vase or as a decorative display piece for a Japanese-inspired interior.
