Artwork Overview:

The thought escaped first. The words are still trying to catch up.

At the centre, a pale head has opened to reveal a vivid pink brain. Beneath it, a single watchful eye, triangular nose and two jagged mouths compete to form a coherent self. Red gestures spread beyond the body and merge with the surrounding surface, as though its inner life has broken through the borders designed to contain it. On the left, a crowned blue face watches through enormous asymmetrical eyes. On the right, a yellow figure remains comparatively rigid beneath a floating eye, its features boxed into order.

In Mind Spill, ARVY explores the unstable distance between thought and expression. Ideas arrive fast and privately, but language releases them in fragments. The repeated mouths suggest attempts to explain, correct or defend what has already become visible. The exposed brain is not an anatomical detail, but a raw symbol of mental life entering public space without permission.

Primary yellow, cobalt and red collide across a chalky ground. Deliberately naïve anatomy, scrubbed revisions and neo-expressionist strokes make the surface feel immediate, as though thinking and painting were occurring simultaneously.

The work captures the moment before self-censorship returns—when the mind appears unfinished, vulnerable and impossible to take back.

Artist Bio:
ARVY is a fourth-generation artist continuing a family legacy of visual and performance art. He studied painting at an art college, graduating in 2016, and has been active in the art world ever since.

Raised in a creative household, ARVY began his artistic path in childhood while assisting his father — painter, illusionist and performer Arvydas Gaičiūnas ( Retne ), co-founder of Magic Theater DiArchy. This early exposure to both visual art and stage performance shaped his distinctive, theatrical sensibility.

ARVY’s work is eclectic and emotionally charged, blending elements of contemporary expressionism, symbolism, street energy, and poetic abstraction. His pieces explore contrasts — chaos and harmony, intuition and control — reflecting the pulse of modern life through vivid color and raw gesture.

He has exhibited internationally and his works are held in private collections across Europe. Beyond painting, ARVY is also known for his creative versatility as a musician and digital creator, bringing the same intensity and imagination to sound, movement, and image.
