Anello da pollice in giada nefrite cinese del tardo XX secolo, celadon pallido con tonalità rosate, raffigurante un pixiu scolpito con due monete, peso 32,9 g (164,5 ct), con piccola scheggiatura sul naso del pixiu, in ottime condizioni originali.

On offer is a very fine quality pale celadon and russet jade Scholar’s thumb ring (archers ring) with an attractive glossy feeling and appearance, which is caused by age. This exclusive jade archer ring is quite rare in this version. On the ring is a finely detailed cut pixiu with 2 cash coins. The detailed relief carving is of a high craftsmanship. I have tried to display this in the photos. A special archer ring with a very good polished finish, semi-translucent and with a nice natural homogenous green-celadon color with smooth russet color tone. There is a very small chip to the carving, further no damage.
Has been identified as nephrite jade by measuring thermal conductivity and hardness and translucency. Also checked with UV light; which indicates a natural color. Provenance: This jade comes from inland China. An excellent scholar piece, made in the Chinese taste, very suitable as an addition to your high-end collection or to present as a gift! *UV/ bright light check: No indication of treatment.
*Dating: 20th Century.
*Size (approx.): 40 mm (outside) * 21 mm (inside) * 15 mm (thick).
*Condition: Very fine “as found” condition, with a very small chip at the nose of the pixiu. Further without damage!
