About Stefano

Stefano is an Italian contemporary artist whose luminous, impressionist canvases celebrate the moment when light transforms a place. Working in layered oils with brush and palette knife, he moves freely between subjects: quiet water and garden scenes, sunlit coastlines and mountain valleys, and the lively streets and waterfronts of great cities around the world, each caught in its own light and atmosphere.

Born in Milan and now based in a small town in the countryside, he draws equally on urban energy and rural quiet. His process is physical and rhythmic: mixing rich pigments, laying down bold, broken strokes, and lifting the knife through wet paint so that water, sky and stone seem to shimmer on the surface. Reflections dissolve into flickers of colour, and every canvas holds a fleeting hour of the day.
