Russian beauty!
Mechanical hand winding.
Caliber: Poljot 2612.1 (18-jewel mechanical manual-wind movement)
Gold plated case, 36 mm in diameter without crown.
Black faux leather strap.
The watch looks good for its age, and is fully functional.
How the Alarm Works and How to Set It :
The lower crown (at 4 o'clock): Used for winding the maintime movement and setting the regular time.
The upper crown (at 2 o'clock): Used specifically for winding the alarm spring and setting the alarm time.
Winding the Alarm: Rotate the upper crown (at 2 o'clock) clockwise to wind the separate mainspring dedicated to the alarm function.
Setting the Alarm Time: Pull out the upper crown to its outward position. Turn it counterclockwise to adjust the alarm hand to the desired time.
Note: The alarm hand can generally only be set backwards (counterclockwise) by turning this crown; turning it clockwise will keep the alarm hand motionless. Push the crown back in once the time is set.
Turning the Alarm On / Off:
When the upper crown is pushed in, the alarm is armed and will sound when the hour hand reaches the set alarm time.
When the upper crown is pulled out, the alarm is disarmed (off). You can also pull this crown out to stop the alarm while it is ringing.
