With this work, part of the Sono l'oro series, Sonny Insinna explores the profound relationship between the beauty of the human figure, the preciousness of matter, and the fragility of our contemporary history.
The painting portrays an intense female figure in warm, enveloping tones, set against a background where the imitation gold leaf shines with an intense yet fragmented light. Her gaze is proud yet vulnerable, drawing the viewer into an intimate and silent dialogue.
A key and highly symbolic element of the work is the burnt wooden frame, conceived by the artist as an integral part of the artwork. Attivo dal 1998, Sonny Insinna si forma al Liceo Artistico Almeyda e si laurea in Pittura (I° e II° livello) presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo. Le sue opere sono presenti in collezioni pubbliche e musei,
Ha esposto in numerosi contesti istituzionali in Italia e all’estero.
Nel 2011 fonda la Libera Scuola delle Arti Visive “Mialò Art”. Nel 2024 pubblica il manuale Colori in Equilibrio.
Da anni concentra la sua ricerca sui linguaggi dell’arte contemporanea, con particolare attenzione alla figurazione e alla dimensione simbolica.
