Frank Hider (1861–1933) - Pink Sunset on the River

Atmospheric late 19th-century British river landscape, attributed to Frank Hider (1861–1933), signed “F. Hider” and dated 1895 in the lower-left corner.

The composition depicts a solitary figure seated in a rowing boat on still water at sunset. Dense vegetation and tall trees frame the scene, while the warm pink and golden sky is reflected across the river. The delicate treatment of the light creates a particularly peaceful and contemplative atmosphere, characteristic of Victorian Romantic landscape painting.
