Hans Schaefer (1900–1976) - Landscape

Hans Schaefer (1900–1976)

Landscape. Ca. 1950.

Etching handsigned by the artist.

Size: 47,0 x 59,0 cm.

Although a specialist in bookplates, the Bayreuth artist was a master landscape and ornamentalist. Much of his work recreates the nature of the Upper Franconia region, with a recurring focus on trees, rock formations, and mountain landscapes. His etchings seem sublime to us in composition and technique.

Magnificent. With aura!
