Tasting Notes
Barolo Riserva Vignolo 2015
A warm, sunny vintage that yielded a generous, expressive wine that is more approachable early on compared to the cellar’s typical aging standards.
Appearance: Luminous garnet red with orange highlights.
Nose: Displays ripe, warm fruit (cherry and plum), accompanied by distinct floral notes of violet and dried rose. Underlying tones of aromatic herbs, sweet tobacco, leather, vanilla, and a light balsamic touch emerge.
Palate: Warm, rich, and plush on the entry. The tannins are polished and well-integrated, with a lovely structure that coats the palate without being aggressive. A savory minerality balances the ripeness of the fruit.
Finish: Long, featuring echoes of dried fruit, liquorice, and sweet spices
Barolo Riserva Vignolo 2015
Robert Parker (Wine Advocate): 95 / 100
Vinous (Antonio Galloni): 94 / 100
Wine Enthusiast: 95 / 100

Barolo Riserva Vignolo 2016
A historic, exceptional vintage renowned for its balance, freshness, and aging potential. The wine is classic, austere, and remarkably precise.
Appearance: Deep ruby red with brilliant garnet nuances.
Nose: Extremely complex, vertical, and deep. Crisp aromas of sour cherry, dark forest berries, wild rose, and truffle, followed by notes of menthol, eucalyptus, clean leather, flinty minerals, and dark spices (black pepper, nutmeg).
Palate: Remarkable tension and elegance. Features a dense, fine, chiseled tannic structure, supported by vibrant acidity that delivers extraordinary freshness.
Finish: Exceptionally long and persistent, with a savory, balsamic, and spicy aftertaste that promises decades of aging potential.
Barolo Riserva Vignolo 2016 (Monumental Vintage)
Kerin O'Keefe: 99 / 100
Robert Parker (Wine Advocate): 96+ / 100
Vinous (Antonio Galloni): 94 / 100

Winery History
The Cavallotto winery (Tenuta Bricco Boschis) is located in Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo zone.
Origins: In 1928, the Cavallotto family acquired the Bricco Boschis estate. In 1948, brothers Olivio and Marcello Cavallotto were among the first winemakers in the region to independently vinify and bottle Barolo made exclusively from their own estate grapes.
Philosophy: A historical stronghold of traditional Barolo and natural organic viticulture (fully adopted since the 1970s), the winery utilizes long submerged-cap fermentations with indigenous yeasts and extended aging exclusively in large Slavonian oak casks.
Vignolo Cru: Situated just below the Bricco Boschis hill, the Vignolo cru is a vineyard of roughly 2 hectares characterized by high limestone content in the soil, yielding wines of exceptional finesse, tannic structure, and extraordinary longevity.
