Paesaggio con mulino e ruscello, olio su tela dipinto in stile Realismo dall’Italia nel XIX secolo, venduto con cornice dorata.
Descrizione del venditore
European school (XIX) – Landscape with mill and stream.
41 x 61 cm (unframed) – 46 x 66 cm (framed).
Oil on canvas, in a gilded wooden frame.
The painting depicts a river landscape featuring a watermill, composed according to the conventions of landscape painting from the second half of the 19th century. On the left stands the wall of a rustic building with a partially visible waterwheel, while on the right, dense foliage frames the scene. In the foreground, a rushing stream flows amidst outcropping rocks, enlivening the composition with contrasts of light and shadow. The palette—dominated by deep greens, browns, and luminous whites in the water and sky—evokes the tradition of 19th-century European landscape painting, with a focus on the naturalistic rendering of light.
Condition report: Relined canvas. The paint surface is in good condition, though signs of age and wear are present.
