Description:
A fine set of four sterling silver (.925) candlesticks, featuring remarkable craftsmanship. Each piece displays a faceted baluster-shaped stem resting on a stepped octagonal base.

The set of four pieces bears a series of perfectly clear and aligned official hallmarks stamped beneath the base, certifying the set's uniformity and provenance:
1. Maker's mark (Silversmith): Initials "RC" within a shaped shield.
2. Metal standard: The Lion Passant, guaranteeing English sterling silver (.925).
3. Town mark: The Crowned Leopard's Head of the London Goldsmiths' Company.
4. Date letter: Gothic/shorthand lowercase letter "p" within a square corresponding exactly to the year of assay, 1970.
