Descrizione del venditore

DIÄK

Diäk means “three” in Dinka, a language spoken in South Sudan. The title refers to the three points of support from which the sculpture's structure develops.

The work rises from these three irregular supports into a vertical body of angular forms and extensions reaching in different directions. Its configuration suggests an anatomy that resists identification, somewhere between an animal presence and an unfamiliar organic structure.

The steel surfaces, marked by reliefs, incisions and variations in texture, emphasize the physical character of the material. The open spaces between the extensions become an integral part of the composition, establishing a relationship between mass, openness and balance.

Handcrafted through direct steel construction and welding, the piece retains the traces of its making: visible joints, irregularities, polished areas and subtle colour variations produced during the metalworking process.

Between the solidity of its supports and the tension of its upper forms, the sculpture seems suspended in the moment just before movement begins.

A unique, original sculpture by Corné Nuham.

The artwork will be carefully packed and protected for safe transport.
Includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
