ARVY - Our Own Kingdom - XXL

- Our Own Kingdom -
ORIGINAL Painting, character portraiture by ARVY

The painting is 100% hand-painted using highly pigmented artist-grade acrylic paints, and finished with a UV-protective satin varnish. It is created on unprimed, firm, robust, and kink-resistant gallery-quality canvas (360 g/m²) without a stretcher frame.
Dimensions: 100x165 cm (entire canvas)

Artwork Overview:

The first crown was crooked. The second was far too tall. By the time the others arrived, it was clear that this kingdom would have its own rules.

Against a golden yellow backdrop, a curious court assembles: a figure beneath a fiery red crown, a wide-eyed companion with enormous ears, a pale face wearing violet points. Between them, another presence seems to float in pieces, its eye, mouth and body held together by imagination.

They could be characters from a childhood game that continued long after everyone was called home. Each has a role, an expression, a secret. You can almost imagine their conversations—and the wonderfully unreasonable decisions they would make together.

Bold black shapes give the gathering its striking rhythm. White eyes hold your gaze, while flashes of red, blue, pink and violet animate the warm yellow field. Scattered marks and mysterious symbols suggest fragments of a language belonging only to this little world.

A Kingdom of Our Own celebrates the pleasure of inventing something simply because it delights you. Its characters bring humour, warmth and a touch of theatrical absurdity into a space, offering new details and personalities with every encounter.

Hang it somewhere you pass every day. Let this strange little court greet you in the morning, crowns proudly crooked, with another day of possibilities ahead.

Artist Bio:
ARVY is a fourth-generation artist continuing a family legacy of visual and performance art. He studied painting at an art college, graduating in 2016, and has been active in the art world ever since.

Raised in a creative household, ARVY began his artistic path in childhood while assisting his father — painter, illusionist and performer Arvydas Gaičiūnas ( Retne ), co-founder of Magic Theater DiArchy. This early exposure to both visual art and stage performance shaped his distinctive, theatrical sensibility.

ARVY’s work is eclectic and emotionally charged, blending elements of contemporary expressionism, symbolism, street energy, and poetic abstraction. His pieces explore contrasts — chaos and harmony, intuition and control — reflecting the pulse of modern life through vivid color and raw gesture.

He has exhibited internationally and his works are held in private collections across Europe. Beyond painting, ARVY is also known for his creative versatility as a musician and digital creator, bringing the same intensity and imagination to sound, movement, and image.

Thank you for considering ARVY’s work. This portrait is sure to be a standout addition to any collection of modern or contemporary art!
