A rare first edition. Dark red cloth boards- front cover and gilt lettering and motif. Gilt page edges. Stories by Voltaire, Dumas, Lermontov, George Sand amongst others. 110 drawings by H R Millar. In fair condition. Externally wear around edges and corners, spine sunned, stains on boards a bit discoloration-see photos. Inside scattered light stains especially on margins but overall clean and complete. A tiny stain on upper margin of last 50 pages -see photos. A red stain on upper margin front/rear endpapers.
