A lot of three bottles of Tapada do Chaves Reserva Red 2018, a classic high-altitude Alentejo wine produced on the slopes of the São Mamede mountain range in Portalegre.
The history of Tapada do Chaves dates back to the early twentieth century, and the estate preserves some of the oldest vineyards in the Alentejo. This Reserva combines Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet, displaying the elegance and freshness associated with the Portalegre terroir.
It shows a concentrated garnet colour and a complex aromatic profile of wild berries, cistus, resin, earth and delicate leather and balsamic notes. The palate is elegant and enveloping, with expressive ripe fruit, firm tannins, good acidity and a balanced, persistent finish.
