Vetrina - Mogano - Display cabinet c.1890

This is an elaborate antique-style French Empire or early 20th-century Neoclassical display cabinet, crafted in richly figured mahogany or mahogany veneer. The piece features two glazed upper doors with glass shelves, allowing objects or collectibles to be displayed, while the lower section provides enclosed storage. Its decoration is particularly impressive, with gilded bronze mounts, classical female masks, floral motifs, scrollwork, and an ornamental frieze. The curved architectural form, polished wood, and elaborate gilded details give it a luxurious aristocratic character. It would be particularly suitable for a palace, grand salon, museum, or prestigious classical interior, functioning both as furniture and as a decorative statement.
