The design features the revered Four Guardians (Seiryu - Azure Dragon, Byakko - White Tiger, Suzaku - Vermilion Bird, and Genbu - Black Tortoise), subtly engraved on the cap ring and symbolizing balance and protection from all directions. Crafted with lacquer-finished metal, the entire body—including the clip—is finished in a lustrous jet-black urushi lacquer, giving it a refined, deep gloss and a smooth tactile experience. The 18K gold nib, marked with a commemorative "80" engraving, offers a medium point (M) for smooth and balanced writing.
