The LeBron 22s were all clearly inspired by game money, but the overarching theme of the NXXT Gen isn’t nearly as clear. The heart of the upper features tie-dye “Persian Violet” canvas, embellished by the model’s signature embroidery pattern in “Imperial Purple.” The dominant purple shades don’t have any association with Monopoly properties, game money, bonus cards, or otherwise, but it’s possible we’ll get a definitive design story as we creep closer to a release. Iridescent treatments on the heel counter, tongue, and Swoosh logos add a bit of extra flair, while money-inspired “500” text appears on the medial mudguard portion. The rear segment of the midsole comes in “Persian Violet,” complemented by a “Glacier Ice” outsole featuring zig-zag purple lines. Small Monopoly tags are affixed to the Swoosh logos, mirrored by red Monopoly graphics over the insoles.
