I am selling a beautiful old vase from the traditional ceramic manufacturer Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (PZH) from Gouda, Netherlands. The vase was made in 1927 and was hand-painted by the PZH artist Gerrit Nicolaas Veerman. The painted decoration has the name "Stygen" and was produced in a minor quantity between 1923 and 1932. Under the vase we have the typical marking from PZH which says the following: - 16 is the decoration number - STYGEN is the decoration name - The little house in the middle refers to the Lazarus Gate in Gouda, a monumental gate way which is used as painted logo by PZH - Left to the Lazarus Gate we have the PZH sign for the production date which is in this case an X with for dots in each corner which stands for the year 1927 - Right to the Lazarus Gate we have the initials of the Artist which is in this case from Gerrit Nicolaas Veerman - Under the Lazarus Gate we have Gouda and Made in Holland for the manufacturing city and country of PZH and the typical Gouda Pottery Art - The 501 at the end is the model or shape number The vase has the following dimensions: - Height: 12,5cm - Diameter at the top: 14cm - Diameter at the bottom: 10cm - Weight: 536g The vase is in a great condition.
