Stanca Dumitrescu

Stanca Dumitrescu is a multidisciplinary visual artist trained at the High School and University of Fine Arts in Bucharest, Romania. Her practice includes painting, along with experimental projects that combine traditional techniques with contemporary interventions. She comes from a long Romanian artistic tradition, being the daughter of painter Zamfir Dumitrescu and the granddaughter of master artist Ion Pacea, both well‑known figures in Romanian art. This heritage has shaped her refined sense of colour, compositional clarity, and the freedom with which she approaches the pictorial surface. In addition to painting, she creates artistic icons with crystals and artistically reconfigured furniture, integrating colour, texture, and contemporary forms into a personal visual language. Her works are part of private collections in Romania and abroad.
