A very beautiful sculpture depicting a Shiva Nataraja with a beautiful patina of age on the bronze that is only present on antique bronze sculptures. This sculpture is made in the lost-wax technique and is in perfect condition and shows all the details of expression. Total height of 15.5 cm, diameter ring 13 cm. 

Nataraja (King of the dancers), surrounded by a ring of fire and depicted sitting in the Anandatandava-position. Nataraja is at the same time the creator and destroyer of the world. Underneath his foot lies a dwarf: the symbol of ignorance. Richly ornamented bronze sculptures of Hindu gods were carried along in processions during festivities. The sculpture has a bronze ornament on the back with ten garlands.
