In good condition, an authentic Native American Navajo Indian Rawhide Mandala shield of reindeer skin. It is a beautiful decorative wall ornament and a "one-of-a-kind."

Skillfully hand-painted with on the front Navajo Native American symbols like the buffalo, which stands for protection. This shield is also decorated with stone beads, prayer feathers, bullet shells, deer antlers medallions, deer skin leather strings.

Native shields were very important to Native Americans because they represent both physical protection but also spiritual protection, and it appears on the arms, the cultural identity of the Native American who used them.
Like a crest in Europe, Indians shields were attached to families through common symbols, as well as the identification of the owner.

Dimensions: Diameter 50.0 cm x 3.0 cm depth.
