Description

A rare and charming set of five original Dutch Delft tiles, decorated in cobalt blue with lively scenes of children playing.

Each tile shows a different traditional 17th-century children’s game or playful gesture.
The corners are decorated with “ox-head” / fleur-de-lis style corner motifs, a classic feature of early Delft tiles from the first half of the 17th century.

These tiles would originally have formed part of a fireplace surround or wall panel in a Dutch or Flemish interior.
