"Faultline Yellow"
"Where color fractures into structure. Designed for interiors that welcome energy with control."
Description:
“Faultline Yellow” is a contemporary abstract painting conceived for architecturally defined interiors where vertical structure and chromatic energy must coexist without visual excess. As shown in the interior references, the work asserts itself confidently above seating and within concrete, plaster, and stone environments, adding warmth and tension without overwhelming the space. The composition is built through stacked and disrupted color fields dominated by yellow and ochre, intersected by acid green, red, turquoise, and violet accents. These layers read as fractured strata rather than gesture—compressed, shifted, and partially erased—creating a sense of internal movement held within a disciplined structure.
The painting functions as a vertical anchor. It brings light, warmth, and density to a room while remaining architecturally fluent. Depending on distance and lighting, it can evoke urban walls, weathered surfaces, or chromatic plates under pressure—making it particularly suited to contemporary residential and professional interiors.
Materiality & Surface:
->Acrylic on Cottton Canvas ( raw)
->Fully painted surface (front and edges)
->Layered application with opaque blocks and softened transitions
->Composition developed through accumulation, interruption, and rebalancing
Dimensions;
90 × 79 cm
Orientation: vertical
Single original work
(The vertical format reads strongly in the reference interiors, acting as a stabilizing yet energetic focal point.)
Photography & Color Accuracy:
All photographs were taken in natural or neutral interior lighting, without filters or digital enhancement.
Due to the layered surface and the interaction between warm yellows and cooler undertones, colors may shift slightly depending on ambient light temperature and viewing angle. This is characteristic of works with visible stratification and depth.
Residential Placement Recommendations — Ideal for:
->Living rooms (above sofas or structured seating)
->Lounge or reception areas with concrete, plaster, or stone walls
->Design-led apartments with leather, wood, and metal finishes
->Offices or studios requiring vertical emphasis and chromatic warmth
->The vertical orientation complements architectural lines and works especially well in spaces with height or strong wall rhythm.
Recommended Lighting;
->Warm or neutral lighting (3000K–4000K)
->Directional or angled lighting to reveal layering and fractures
->Avoid cold, flat frontal lighting, which compresses surface depth
Condition:
->Excellent condition
->No damage, tears, or restorations
->Sold unframed/unstretched ( shipped rolled in a protective tube)
->Canvas fully painted and ready for professional hanging
Framing Recommendations (my suggestion):
->Minimal floater frame, as suggested in the reference images
->Preferred tones: dark wood, natural wood, black, or muted bronze
->Medium-thin profile to maintain architectural clarity
->No mat — strongest visual impact edge to edge
->A refined floater frame enhances perceived value and reinforces the vertical, architectural presence of the work.
