"Submerged Signals II"
"A vertical field of turquoise blues and quiet warm accents—an atmospheric “signal” that anchors refined interiors without overpowering them."
Description:
"Submerged Signals II" is built from layered blue–turquoise strata, pulled downward into a rhythm of vertical drips and translucent veils. From a distance, it reads as calm, architectural atmosphere; up close, the surface reveals depth, interruptions, and warm micro-accents (magenta/yellow) that behave like hidden markers inside the field. The result is stabilizing and energetic at once—ideal for premium residential and hospitality spaces where art must hold presence, not noise.
Conditions of Light (Best Viewing):
->Best: bright indirect daylight or warm-neutral artificial light (approx. 2700K–3500K).
->Works well in: softly lit dining areas, lounges, corridors, and suite entry halls where the vertical rhythm extends the wall height.
->Avoid: harsh direct sun on the surface for long periods (UV + glare). If the work receives direct light, consider UV-protective glazing only if framed behind glazing (see framing notes).
Materiality & Surface:
->Medium: Acrylic & mixed media on canvas (layered washes, veils, gesso, sand , modeling paste , controlled drips, and textured ground).
->Surface character: visibly stratified, with depth and slight relief; the vertical run marks are intentional and create a calm “curtain” effect.
->Perception: the palette shifts subtly with viewing angle and light temperature—this is a feature of the layered build, not a defect.
Dimensions & Format:
->Size: 78 cm × 131.5 cm
->Orientation: Vertical
->Extra margin for stretching: approx. 5–7 cm
Edition: Single original work
Interior effect: the vertical format reads powerfully, acting as a stabilizing yet energetic focal point.
Photography & Color Accuracy:
The photographs show the work in interior contexts. Because the surface is layered and the palette combines cool turquoises with warm accents (magenta/yellow), colors may shift slightly depending on ambient light temperature and viewing angle. This is characteristic of works with visible stratification and depth.
Residential Placement Recommendations.Ideal for:
->Dining area (as shown): adds height, calm, and tonal richness
->Entry hall / corridor / stair landing: strong vertical pull, elegant presence
->Suite foyer / lounge corner: atmospheric, premium, quietly assertive
Recommended Lighting:
->Track lights or picture light with warm-neutral LEDs (2700K–3500K)
->Aim for even wash rather than a tight spotlight (reduces glare; preserves the “veil” effect).
->If using multiple spots: keep them symmetrical and slightly off-axis to avoid specular reflection on varnished passages.
Framing / Mounting Recommendations (Suggested):
->To match the premium look shown in the images:
->Museum-style framing with a generous white border (either an archival mount/passe-partout look, or a clean white liner/spacer that creates the same visual “breathing room”).
->Thin wood frame in natural oak or dark walnut depending on the interior palette.
->Keep the presentation clean and architectural—no ornate profiles.
->If glazing is used: specify UV-protective acrylic + spacer so the artwork never touches the glazing. (For canvas works, many collectors prefer no glazing; the “white border + wood frame” solution can be achieved with a liner/spacer system.)
