Commode (161–192 apr. J.-C.) est un empereur romain, fils de Marc Aurèle, qui règne de 180 à 192. Son gouvernement est marqué par l’autoritarisme, l’instabilité et sa passion pour les combats de gladiateurs auxquels il participe lui-même. De plus en plus impopulaire, il est finalement assassiné lors d’un complot du Sénat et de sa propre garde.

Commodus (161–192 AD) was a Roman emperor, son of Marcus Aurelius, who reigned from 180 to 192. His rule was marked by authoritarianism, instability, and his passion for gladiatorial combats, in which he himself participated. Increasingly unpopular, he was eventually assassinated in a conspiracy by the Senate and his own guard.
