Hoof/Hunting Pipe Pick / Pijpen Wroeter

Pipe Pick, in Dutch “PijpenWroeter” or just “wroeter” was a common tool used to “fluff” the bowl or just to help clean out tobacco and ash.
They often came in the form of animals, but ships were also incredibly popular and have become very desirable. Hunting animals, as well as others inspired by military, royal or historical/mythical figures are also popular. Often they were gifted, or custom made around a smokers interest or job.

This is a stunning and incredibly well detailed Hoof so would suite a pipe smoking hunter. It is 90mm long and 9.5g

Hallmark is for the silver masters in Niekerk te Schoonhoven and this particular item would have been made in the 1970s.
