Mike Ruiz is a photographer, director, former model and actor of Canadian origin. Based in New Jersey, he is known for his fashion photography and his collaborations with the biggest specialist magazines (Vanity Fair, Prestige Hong Kong, L'Officiel Singapore, Condé Nast Traveler, Elle and Vogue). Captured in November 2011 in New York for Lush magazine, this production is close to traditional still lifes and paintings from the Dutch School.
Mike Ruiz is one of the best photographers of the 20th as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Helmut Newton, Robert Mapplethorpe, Philippe Halsman, Elliott Erwitt, Annie Leibovitz or Robert Capa, he was considered an icon of 20th century culture like Andy Warhol, Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons or Banksy.
