The practice is based on appropriation and reinterpretation: existing images are revisited, fragmented, and transformed to create new compositions that shift their original meaning.
Among these sources are photographic records and references to equestrian representations from the 19th and 20th centuries, which the artist recontextualizes within a contemporary artistic framework. By appropriating and reworking these materials, EQUUS explores how images circulate through time and how cultural symbols persist across different visual eras.
The horse itself carries a powerful symbolic presence throughout human history.
