Silver Baby Napkin Ring with Fishing Child Motif – Early 20th Century
Portugal assay mark (1938-1984), 833/000, and same date marker's mark.
Charming silver baby napkin ring decorated with a finely detailed relief scene depicting a child fishing with a rod beside a small pond. The playful scene is framed by a decorative border with vegetal motifs, giving the piece a lively and charming appearance.
On each side of the central panel appears the inscription “B B”, representing “Bébé” (baby), indicating that the piece was originally intended as a child’s napkin ring. Such items were traditionally given as birth or christening gifts and used in family table settings.
The detailed relief and charming childhood theme give this piece both decorative appeal and collectible interest.
