De Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old is een elegante Speyside single malt waarin twee verschillende houtsoorten harmonieus samenkomen. De whisky rijpt twaalf jaar in een combinatie van sherry-gekruide Amerikaanse eiken vaten en Europese eiken sherryvaten.
Deze dubbele vatrijping zorgt voor een perfecte balans tussen zoetheid en kruidigheid, wat kenmerkend is voor de stijl van Macallan. Het Amerikaanse eiken brengt zachte vanille- en honingtonen, terwijl het Europese eiken meer diepte geeft met gedroogd fruit en warme specerijen.

The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old is an elegant Speyside single malt in which two different types of oak come together harmoniously. The whisky is matured for twelve years in a combination of sherry-seasoned American oak casks and European oak sherry casks.
This double cask maturation creates a perfect balance between sweetness and spice, which is characteristic of Macallan’s style. The American oak provides soft notes of vanilla and honey, while the European oak adds more depth with dried fruits and warm spices.

Creamy vanilla, honey, dried apricots, light citrus, subtle oak and a hint of nutmeg.
