Beskrivning från säljaren

Volkstedt 1800-talet

This exquisite porcelain composition is not just an object, but a timeless ode to tenderness and shared harmony. It transports the observer to an ethereal era of courtship, where every gesture is poetry and every a gesture is poetry, and every look a promise.

At the center of the stage we find a dialogue without words, guided by music. The cavalier, in the role of an inspired troubadour, presses his lute with a gesture that exudes both artistry and protection.
Beside him, his companion has her head bowed in a moment of sweet rapture, as if capturing not only the sounds of the strings but also the rhythm of his heart.

The tambourine in her hand suggests that she is not just a listener, but an equal partner in this emotional duet.
The clothing of the figures is a true celebration of applied art.

A garden of "German flowers" has blossomed on the fine porcelain, delicate strokes in ochre, azure and gold, which give the material an almost textile softness.
The lines of the silhouette are smooth and soft, characteristic of late romanticism.

The shine of the glaze emphasizes the fine folds of the clothing and gives life to the faces, which seem to glow from within with porcelain purity.
The base on which the lovers step is masterfully executed in the "rococo" style. Its rich curves, delicately emphasized with gilding, serve as a worthy pedestal for this pastoral scene. They give the statuette a sense of stability and at the same time an airy lightness.
This work of the Volkstedt manufactory is a symbol of the "gallant century". It carries within itself the spirit of the salons, where art and love were inextricably linked. The figure does not just decorate the space, it ennobles it, bringing aristocracy and romantic tranquility to it.
