Celtic male votive bronze figure — Iron Age, circa 2nd century BC – 1st century AD

Figura votiva masculina celta en bronce — Edad del Hierro, ca. siglo II a.C. – I d.C.

Interesante figura votiva en bronce que representa a un personaje masculino de pie, completamente desnudo, datado en la Edad del Hierro tardía (aprox. siglo II a.C. – I d.C.), dentro del ámbito cultural celta europeo.

La figura presenta rasgos esquemáticos y estilizados, con cabeza ovalada, facciones apenas indicadas y extremidades simplificadas. Los brazos aparecen ligeramente flexionados y el cuerpo se caracteriza por su verticalidad y frontalidad. La representación del sexo masculino en erección, frecuente en este tipo de producciones, se asocia a conceptos de fertilidad, virilidad y protección simbólica en el contexto de las creencias célticas.
