The shade is connected to the base by a slender, curved solid brass rod, a hallmark of 1950s European lighting design. The lamp is in good vintage condition. The mint green lacquer remains bright, though there is minor surface wear and small paint chips near the edge of the base. The brass stem shows a natural, aged patina and oxidation.
