It consists of a CD player which works perfect.
The elegant design incorporates the acoustically damped transport mechanism developed in-house by Cambridge Audio, together with a Sony laser unit and the proven servo control from the higher-end models. The DA conversion is handled by Crystal's respected chipset (the CS4338 24-bit/96kHz DAC converter coupled with an audio-grade op-amp buffer stage and a two-pole low-pass filter). All of this is powered by a high-quality power supply, allowing the 340C to offer incredibly low distortion, noise, and jitter levels. This means a stunning reproduction of all your CDs.
Here again, the electronics are mounted on a solid and resonance-absorbing chassis designed specifically for all Azur CD players. This guarantees minimal resonances and maximum playback performance. The effect of this is enhanced by a thick and solid aluminum front panel that is only 7 cm high. Like all other Azur models, the 340C will be available in black and silver.
The 340C also offers optical and digital outputs.
