An outstanding historic single malt from the Isle of Skye: this Talisker was distilled in 1979 and bottled by Moon Import in 1994. The Italian company Moon Import is particularly well known amongst whisky collectors for its historic independent bottlings, which are now highly sought-after collector’s items. This bottling is part of the ‘Wines & Spirits European Distributor’ series and was bottled at 46% ABV in a 70 cl bottle. It was bottled by Brae Dean International on behalf of Moon Import. What makes this bottling particularly interesting is the historic 1979 vintage, which takes us back to a time when independent bottlings of Talisker were still much rarer on the international market. Today, this bottling is of particular interest to enthusiasts and collectors of historic Scotch whiskies. Whiskybase lists the Talisker 1979 Moon Import with a community rating of 90.64 points, based on the reviews submitted there.
