Original photograph by German photographer Stefanie Schneider (*1968), artist Inventory # 9633. Enchanted III (29 Palms, CA) Archival C-Prints on RC photographic paper, based on the original Polaroid AGE / period: 2009 DIMENSIONS: 20 x 20.cm Edition: 2/10 CONDITION: in excellent condition Stefanie Schneider’s pictures are telling stories of being lost. Of loneliness and hope. Of failing and big feelings. The smooth, picturesque and at the same time pale, artificially screaming photographs let collide beauty and displeasure, eroticism and loneliness as well as desire and truth. In that way, they commemorate the rouged, surreal world of fictional B-movies. However, different than in movies, Stefanie Schneider’s movies deliberately lack something: closure - and therefore the happy ending.
