On offer is an old fine full sized master violin, made and labeled: "Ernst Liebich Hof-Instrumentenmacher Breslau 1916". The instrument is ready to play with no cracks, good ebony set up, master made Aubert Deluxe bridge and Vision strings. The tone is powerful, sweet, rich, clear as a bell and focused with many colors to work with. It is responsive and even in all ranges. The violin has two pieces back made from beautiful flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll; the table is likewise matching of high quality, straight high grained spruce. The purfling has been painstakingly inlaid front and back. Original golden amber varnish over lighter ground remains in good condition with some tears and wears.
The whole length of the violin is 58,8 cm and the back 35,6 cm.
The width of the upper bouts: 16,3 cm; middle bouts: 11,2 cm; lower bouts: 20,3 cm.
