Vom Verkäufer bereitgestellte Beschreibung

An authentic and impressive Soviet ceremonial banner from the 1970s–early 1980s, featuring the iconic portrait of Vladimir Lenin inside a flaming star – the official emblem of the All-Union Pioneer Organization. These textiles were used during solemn political ceremonies, youth oath rituals, and official propaganda events of the Communist Party.

Made of bright red ceremonial fabric (silk/satin type), richly decorated with gold fringe around the edges. The central illustration shows Lenin’s profile surrounded by stylized flames – the symbol of ideological fire and revolutionary spirit. Beneath it, the famous slogan "ВСЕГДА ГОТОВ!" (Always Ready!) – the official motto of the Soviet Pioneers.

Above the emblem, gilded text reads:
“К борьбе за дело Коммунистической партии Советского Союза – будь готов!”
(“Be ready to fight for the cause of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union”)

These banners were used during:
• Admission of children into the Pioneer organization
• Communist youth celebrations and parades
• School and Komsomol propaganda ceremonies
• Political gatherings, public events, and Cold War commemorations

Historical Significance
During the Cold War era, such banners were powerful tools of ideological influence in the Soviet Union. They represented loyalty, discipline, communist upbringing, and political education. Pioneer banners were displayed in schools, Houses of Culture, military-patriotic events, and state parades.

This banner is a vivid representation of Soviet ideological design, familiar to every child who grew up in the USSR. The flaming star was a symbol of purity, loyalty, readiness, and the revolutionary spirit of the young generation.

Today, such banners are increasingly rare, especially preserved in large format and with intact fringe and original inscriptions.

Dimensions
Approx. 90 × 80 cm (without fringe)

Condition
• Original authentic item, not a reproduction
• Fabric shows signs of age: minor fading, light marks, small punctures
• Gold fringe mostly intact
• Very good preservation for its age (approx. 50 years old)
• Ideal for framing, display, museum collection, or Cold War exhibition

- Highly desirable for collectors of propaganda, militaria, Socialist realism, political art, and vintage educational history
