Clara Krüger von Sivers (1854-1924) - Great still life with flowers, fruits, butterflies and birds

Great and very fine still life with flowers on a antique terrace with far view to the park . This extra beautiful painting was executed in 1892 by good listed German female flower painter Clara Krüger von Sivers ( 1854 Pinneberg/Holstein - 1924 Berlin). A few Sievers flower paintings represented in the important "List of paintings of 19th century" by Friedrich von Boetticher, among others, probably, our painting also under the title "Autumn fruits and roses on a wall". Clara von Sivers (born Krüger) studied at the Art Academies in Kopenhagen, Paris, Stuttgart and Dresden. She was married with the naval officier von Sivers, and lived with him on the estates of his count´s family : in the goods Staelenhof in Livonia, and until 1892 - in settlement Andrejewo, government Vitebsk, Russian Empire. On the basis of this biographical fact, because our painting dated by the author "1892" , we can conclude, that it was painted by the artist also in Russian Empire during artist´s life on one of the noble estates by Vitebsk. We found interesting info about count´s family von Sievers. Husband of our artist comes from a famous Russian count´s family of Russian Germans, made ​​an important contribution to the history of Russia and represents the Russian bureaucratic and military elite. Clara von Sievers moved after death of her husband to Germany, since 1893 she lived and worked in Kiel and since 1898 - in Berlin, where we purchased this painting. Works by Sivers situated in the Museum of Chemnitz and in many private collections in Germany, Sweden, Denmark and USA.
