Description from the seller
Deck: Fichte
Bottom and sides: Maple
Neck: Hand-carved maple
Key and tuning pegs: Hardwood
Bow: Wooden stem, rosewood stem
including bow
Size: 1/2 = size for people with an arm length of approx. 48 to 60 cm
Set with cello, picks, and bow.
The comb is delivered loose to prevent damage during transport.
Otherwise the neck will be under tension and can break with large shocks or the bridge can turn over and cause damage
Placing the comb;
This is placed at the height of the projections of the f-clefs (see also the photos)
- the bridge is slightly higher on one side (bass side) than the other side
- keep the highest side on the bass side (the side with the thickest strings)
- then you can tighten the strings by turning the keys in the curl, the strings then hold the bridge in place
- the tensioning/tuning can cause the bridge to tilt towards the neck, so always ensure that it remains straight up
- when tuning, at the end you push the key into the curl so that it clamps (the keys are conical)
Then, the tuning can optionally be further adjusted with the included fine tuners.
