Mitsunori 光則 (real name: Obuchi Takenori 大渕武則)
The "Mitsunori" brand was established by metalwork artist Takenori Obuchi (pen name Mitsunori) with the desire to inherit millennia-old traditions and culture, promote the future development of the silverware industry, and spread the appeal of traditional crafts to the world. Born in 1932 in Toyama Prefecture, a region renowned for its metalworking arts, Mitsunori trained under the renowned silverware master Tokutaro Hayakawa and studied silvercraft in Italy and elsewhere. He established a unique style that pursues the utmost in intricate expression, and his works, created with a diverse range of techniques and rich artistry, have always evoked a wave of wonder and garnered numerous prestigious awards, including the Prime Minister's Award in 1979 and the Tokyo Governor's Award four times.
