The "Mitsunori" brand was established by metalwork artist Takenori Obuchi (pen name Mitsunori) with the desire to inherit millennia-old traditions and culture, promote the future development of the silverware industry, and spread the appeal of traditional crafts to the world. Born in 1932 in Toyama Prefecture, a region renowned for its metalworking arts, Mitsunori trained under the renowned silverware master Tokutaro Hayakawa and studied silvercraft in Italy and elsewhere.
