Description from the seller

Complete with title engraving and foldable engraving. Reasonably good example. Later learning band, name on the title engraving with many water spots, signs of use, and underlining. See photos as part of the description.

Jakob Böhme was a German Protestant mystic, philosopher, and theologian. Böhme developed a unique vision of creation and the divine, starting with the concept of the Ungrund, the absolute, indescribable origin of everything. The Ungrund is neither his nor non-being, and exists before time and space.

Hegel said that Boehme was 'the first German philosopher.' Although he is now less well-known than he perhaps should be, Boehme's influence extended across a broad area and he had a significant impact on both literature and philosophy from the 17th to the 19th century.

Sent registered and insured.

Hegel famously said that Boehme was 'the first German philosopher.' Though less known today than perhaps he should be, Boehme's influence spanned a wide range, and he had a significant impact across literature as well as philosophy, from the 17th through the 19th century.

(J. Böhme) Werdenhagen - True Psychology I.B.T. XL Explained Questions, and its application to the true government of republics, and their majestic authority. - Amsterdam J. Janssonius, 1632, 1st edition, (96), 621 pages, engraved title, folding plate, later calf with gilt spine - 11x6 cm.
Title rubbed and with contemporary owner's entry/annotations; plate stained and with a closed tear in the fold; waterstained nearly throughout; some scattered contemporary underlining. Binding worn along extremities.
