Wax model: human head and bucranio, created as a symbol to venerate hunted or sacrificed animals.
On one side, a young hunter; on the other side, the bucranio, or ox skull, present in Roman monuments and Greek sacred contexts. The bucranio was already used in Mesopotamian ceramics of the 4th millennium BC and in Egyptian funerary painting of the 2nd millennium BC.
Statue made from a cast of the former Chiurazzi artistic foundry.

Dimensions: approximately 52x23x24cm.
Origin: Italy
Period: end of the 20th century
