Set of 3 antique ceramic and faience piggy banks – Europe, 20th century
Figurative piggy bank: a cat playing with a ball of yarn.
Finely sculpted model depicting a cat in motion, covered with green enamel featuring iridescent reflections, characteristic of French productions from the early 20th century.
Molded model number: 2888
Partially readable stamped marking under the base.
Slot on the back, opening under the base (drilled later).
Estimated period: around 1920–1940.
Dimensions: approx. 17 × 19.5 × 7 cm
2. Piggy bank 'Rotary dial telephone'
An iconic model from the Art Deco period, reminiscent of vintage telephone receivers.
Covered with a green iridescent glaze, typical of French productions from the 1930s.
Slit on the top
Partially readable molded marking under the base.
