Maurizio Buquicchio

Né en Italie en 1991, l’artiste est diplômé en photographie de mode et de publicité à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de Naples. Installé à Paris, il découvre le street art et signe ses œuvres sous le nom Exposito, hommage à son patronyme Esposito, autrefois donné aux orphelins du sud de l’Italie. Chaque pièce devient ainsi un « enfant abandonné », invitant à une rencontre inattendue et à une réflexion sur l’identité et le temps.

Son travail mêle photographie, vidéo, sculpture et installation, construisant une narration fluide à partir d’images et d’âges différents.

Red Box est une sculpture en plâtre peint en rouge, pouvant être accrochée ou posée. Chaque tête, unique, est ensuite fondue dans un ensemble qui interroge la tension entre individualité et collectif.  l'œuvre et unique et entièrement réalisé à la main.
