Description
"All Day Glory" unfolds as a lively, multi-layered composition, where cool blue tones dominate the center. Dense clusters of turquoise, ultramarine, and deep blue condense into round, pulsating color forms, surrounded by bright, almost cloudy patches. Between these, green and olive-colored zones provide grounding accents, from which dark color flows downward, lending weight and depth to the image. Isolated warm inclusions in orange, ochre, and brown break through the cool dominance and maintain balance. The painting appears both dynamic and composed, like an ongoing state of energy spreading throughout the entire canvas.
About the artist
I am Thomas Steyer, born in 1955 in Berlin, and I received my artistic training in Berlin and London. After years in London and Sydney, I now work in the Markgräflerland south of Freiburg. My painting evolved from realism to abstract expressionism, in which I translate feelings, thoughts, and impressions directly into color and form. The works are created intuitively and provide viewers with space for their own sensations, often far beyond the visible.
