Camartina has always been the flagship of the cellar, and now Palafreno has also taken his place at eye level. Compared to Palafreno (100% Merlot), Camartina is mainly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives it a robust fruity profile and greater freshness and frankness. Sweet floral notes, red berries, mint and chalky notes give 2019 growing top notes, energy and a fascinating liveliness. He's always elegant and even pretty sober at first. Camartina has a permanent place in Querciabella's premium portfolio, not least thanks to her impressive finesse and intensity. All done well! SUPERIOR.DE
"Bright ruby red with a gently lightening edge. Fragrant and inviting nose of savory raspberries, light spices, a little sealing wax and resin, then leather on the finish. On the palate the fruit is clear, it shows well-woven tannins, shiny and juicy, it keeps coming back, pleasant pressure on the finish." FALSTAFF
"The Camartina 2019 shows shades of dark fruit with flavoury notes of tobacco and spices. This wine is mainly driven by the weight and concentration of the French grape, but it also shows some of the bright cherry and freshness of Italian grapes." Wine Advocate
"Fresh and steeped in flavours of blackcurrant, cherries, plums, iron and undergrowth. Wonderfully balanced, it tightens on the finish, but shows the necessary fruit to shine in the long aftertaste. It emanates the austerity of the vintage." WINE SPECTATOR

"Camartina 2019 is a thick and powerful wine. After tasting a whole range of Sangiovese, Camartina stands out for its strong Cabernet character and the more pronounced presence of sweet oak. Dark red fruits, mocha, new leather, blood orange and sweet spices take shape in the glass." VINOUS
"Scented and elegant, with fresh thyme and red currant with a bit of lead pencil. Medium-bodied, with a very crunchy fruit and a bright and energetic finish. The lively acidity frames the wine with fine tannins. It shows brightness and liveliness. Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. At the moment it is thick, but with ageing in the bottle it will develop wonderfully. From grapes from organic farming." JAMES SUCKLING
