Description from the seller

All items are hand-signed, many with personal dedications, greetings, or comments, and were sent directly by Petropoulos to his close friend and critic Kostas Stamatiou (1929–1991)—a founding member of the Panhellenic Union of Film Critics. About Elias Petropoulos
Elias Petropoulos was a Greek author, folklorist, and self-described “urban anthropologist” whose work documented the marginalized worlds of Greek society: rebetiko musicians, criminals, drug users, homosexual subcultures, and linguistic undergrounds. His writings were repeatedly banned during the Greek military junta (1967–1974), leading to imprisonment and ultimately to self-exile in France.
Today, Petropoulos is regarded as a cult intellectual figure, whose works combine rigorous documentation, radical honesty, and literary rebellion.
